This page explains what happens to your information when you use this directory. It is written in plain language on purpose. If anything here is unclear, ask us before you keep using the site.
What we collect
This site does not ask you to sign up, fill in a form, or hand over your name, email address, or phone number. The listings are public information taken from each plumbing company's own website.
When you visit, our hosting provider automatically records standard technical details — the pages you opened, the rough area your internet connection comes from, the browser you used, and the date and time. This is kept in server logs to keep the site running and to count visits.
If you tap a phone number or a website link, that takes you straight to the plumbing company. We never see or store the call you make or anything you discuss with them.
Cookies and advertising
This site may show advertising supplied by Google through its AdSense program. When Google serves ads, it may use cookies.
Google's use of advertising cookies lets it and its partners serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and to other sites on the internet.
You can turn off personalised advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings. You can also block most third-party advertising cookies by changing your browser's cookie settings, or by using the opt-out page at aboutads.info.
Turning off cookies does not stop ads from appearing. It means the ads you see are not chosen based on your earlier browsing.
Links to other websites
Every listing on this site links to a plumbing company's own website. Once you follow one of those links, you are on their site, not ours. Their privacy practices are theirs to set, and our policy does not cover what they do with your information.
Your rights in Alberta and Canada
Under Canada's federal privacy law (PIPEDA) and Alberta's private-sector privacy law, you can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be removed.
Because we do not collect names, emails, or phone numbers on this site, there is usually nothing to remove. If you believe we are holding something about you, contact us using the address below and we will look into it.
Children
This site is written for adults dealing with a household emergency. It is not aimed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will update this page and revise the date at the bottom. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.

Questions about this policy, or a listing that needs correcting or removing, can be sent to the site owner at listings@calgaryplumberdirectory.ca.
